March 2005

The Stewart Clan are sad to loose a truly loveable family friend in Mrs Lorraine King who passed away overnight on Monday 7th March. The surviving widow of Bill King who died only a few months ago she was half of a couple that played a big part in the lives of Jack and Amy and their children. Especially Peter who went to university with Graeme, was a close friend of Steven and attended Bill's funeral not so long ago to be re-united with the Kings after they had left the Gold Coast in late 1980's.

Peter fondly remembers the support of Bill and Lorraine when he and his family first moved to Queensland in 1989. Bill and Lorraine would have to be a two of the most positive and likeable people on the planet.

The Stewarts have had a long association with The Kings starting back in the late 1950's in Port Augusta, South Australia. This relationship continued in Adelaide in the late 60's and early 70's when both families had children at school and then university. It has continued until the present days in Hervey Bay, Queensland where Bill and Lorraine settled after retirement.

We hope it will now be continued by the siblings of Bill and Lorraine; namely Graeme, Steven, Bruce and Susanne (the latter three living in Queensland) in particularly with Peter's section of The Stewart's clan based on the Gold Coast.

February 2005

Umpiring friend of Peter, Chris McKay returns from overseas after working on cruide liners and prepares for his re-starting his acquaintance with the Gold Coast. Chris intends to marry recent love and fianceé Sarka and the two intend making the Gold Coast home after returning from the Czech Republic.
